Sensory Play
We encourage the children to play with water (various water toys) , slime, water babies, mixing colours, smelling their baking ingredients, tasting different fruits and vegetables, listening to sounds around us and feeling different textures. Sensory play is any activity that stimulates your young child's senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing.

Caring for animals
We are animals lovers. We have 3 dogs, cat, fish pond, two ducks, guinea pigs and a rabbit. Learning how to hold an animal and not to be afraid, is a real life skill.

Puzzles
Some children can only complete a 20 piece puzzle, others can do 100. Puzzles have a lot to teach...Sort and classify, colour/shape/size matching, hand eye co-ordination, visual memory and discrimination, concentration, planning and problem solving, spatial relations/orientation, figure ground perception, part/whole relationship, fine motor control, crossing midline, vocab- language development, tactile development, self-correcting and emotional skills.
Gross and fine motor play
We like running, jumping, balancing, swinging, climbing, painting, rolling, throwing, hiding, tossing....This is gross motor play.
We enjoy board games, cutting, gluing, threading, sewing, knitting, tearing, crumbling, colouring, painting...These all help our fine motor skills.
Dramatic and Fantasy Play
Dancing, singing, acting, charades, different play areas...
